FALOE HOSTEL POLICY

Thank you for choosing to stay with FALOE HOSTEL in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Below are hostel policies and procedures. As our hostel guests, by booking a reservation with us, you are agreeing to abide by our hostel policies and procedures. The hostel reserves all rights to refuse service to any guests of the hostel who do not follow or comply with hostel policies.

Free Cancellation Policy

Kindly notify us via email at least a day before for cancellation. This will help enable us to resell your bed sooner.

Check-In

Check-in time is any time after 3 PM. You will be required to present a valid form of identification. Faloe Hostel will make every effort to honor special requests, such as a specific room or bed, upon your arrival. However, this request is subjected to availability.

Late Check-In

Our reception does not run 24-hour. Do keep us posted by email or call if you would like to change your arrival time. It is important that we are kept aware of any changes to your reservation. Self check-in shall be arranged for arrival later than 2300.

Early Check-In

Early check-in is subjected to availability. You may utilize the common areas of the hostel until your bed is ready. Or you may drop your luggage at the hostel and return to the hostel when your bed is ready.

Check-Out

Check-out time is 11 AM. For the comfort of next guest, you are required to check-out from your bed by 11 AM.

Late Check-Out

If you would like to check-out late, please check with us at the front desk before 10am on the same day of departure. We will do our best to accommodate your request. Do note that it is subjected to availability and a charge may be applied.

Cash Payment Only Upon Check-In

Guest will be required to pay the full amount of the stay, including taxes and fees upfront upon check-in. Payment must be made in cash in Ringgit Malaysia only. 

Leaving Luggage

Guest may leave luggages at the hostel without charge. Luggages will be locked in locker which is not occupied by any guest.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is prohibited in all public areas of the hostel and in all rooms. Smoking is allowed in designated “smoking” areas of the hostel.

Drugs

We have zero tolerance policy on drug abuse. Any guest found committing drug abuse will be handed over to local law enforcement authority.

Age Restriction

Guest aged 16 years old or younger has to check-in with a parent or legal guardian.

Promotion Policy

If you choose to take advantage of any promotions offered through the hostel, please follow all restrictions associated with each offer. Management reserves the right to change or cancel all promotions.

No In Room Party Policy

Faloe Hostel enforces a NO IN-ROOM PARTY POLICY to ensure that we can protect the hostel and our guests at all times. In the event of a disturbance one warning will be given to reduce noise. If this warning is not followed, the guest will forfeit all fees and must leave the hostel immediately.       

                                        

Guest Conduct

In the event that the guest negligently or intentionally causes damage to any machine or appliance available for guest use and for guest enjoyment throughout the duration of his/her stay (ie. Washing machine, dryer, hair-dryer, refrigerator, oven, stove, television, etc.), the complete cost of repair – parts and labor – or the price of the entire machine, in the event that it is rendered irreparable, will be charged to the guest.

In the event that a guest acts in an unacceptable or inappropriate manner or is incapable of peaceful coexistence with other guests or is the cause of complaints from other guests or neighbours, the establishment reserves the right to evict the offending guest, without refund or reimbursement of any kind. We do not assume any responsibility for loss, theft or damage of guest property.

Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Except where otherwise expressly stated in these conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our obligations to you is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of “force majeure”. In these Booking Conditions, “force majeure” means any event which we or the Supplier in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.
